I would like private tabs to stay open when I close the browser so that I can return to them later. Until recently, this was the behavior my version of Firefox (139) was exhibiting. But now, using 141, it's closing all private tabs every time I switch to another app. I saw that starting in version 129, there is a "Close private tabs" option that you can toggle off. However, I do not see this setting in version 141 for Android. How can I get the behavior back of persisting private tabs?

Firefox mistakenly consumes ram when many tabs are open it should consume minimal ram and only load ram when a tab is actively being used

On android, it is possible to change the search engine of the search bar on the home screen. There you can select a Search Engine App, like Google, Qwant or Startpage.

However, Firefox is currently not available as a selectable option there. Adding it there would make it possible for those searches to be handled by firefox.

Here is a like from the Google Documention explaining it more. https://support.google.com/android/answer/14661350?visit_id=638898573078368897-2813460311&p=change_search_engine&rd=1

Hi, I can't seem to load some sites, both on mobile and desktop. I've checked my settings and can't find a reason. These sites throw an "address not found" error, but work just fine in other browsers. Examples include websites of two cities near me: https://pardubice.eu/ https://www.hradeckralove.org/

Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks

I’ve been noticing some performance hiccups when trying to use certain interactive websites on firefox for android. one example is spell bee unlimited, a browser-based word puzzle game. It works fine on chrome, but on firefox, the input sometimes lags, freezes, or the page becomes unresponsive during longer sessions.

I'm wondering if there's something specific in how firefox for android handles javascript-heavy or interactive content? could it be related to memory management or background activity?

would appreciate any insight—or if there are any browser settings I can tweak to help improve performance with this type of content.

Thanks!

After I changed the LCD screen on my Sony Xperia L3, when I tried to back on Internet line, and use my Firefox app it says that Firefox only connects to the Internet with secure connection. I couldn't use my Firefox since, basically there is no Internet connection on my Firefox app, and never forget that, my Internet connectivity is the best and I don't have any problem with that. How to sign in to my Google account to get my connections with the Internet back again? Could you please help me, I can't use my Firefox anymore!

Not sure if this is the right place to get this to the devs. The checkmark as a save function in bookmarks being taken out is potentially damaging to the user in they may accidently modify the bookmark and lose it forever. I just had a very risky accident modifying a bookmark title not realizing clicking out would permanently delete it. A link to a website that doesn't exist anymore. It doesn't take much to modify "___.com/isiuc7" and permanently lose either the link or the title which contains info "2021 directory"

I hope this issue can be pushed up the chain in priority. Adding back a save before you leave function even if not in the form of a checkmark.

In the last couple of weeks I've found that when I'm watching YouTube on Firefox for Android and I go fullscreen, the progress bar at the bottom of the screen has disappeared and the play/pause, previous and next buttons are lower than the centre of the screen.

I thought it was going to be due to one of the adblocking and sponsor-skipping extensions I have, but disabling then did nothing so I tried clearing the site data. Bingo! Picked a random video, went full screen, all the controls appeared again. But then I signed back into my YouTube/Google account and the problem recurs.

I've tried the same process on Firefox for Android 141.0.1, Firefox for Android Beta (not sure what version, that was a few days ago), and Firefox Focus 141.0.1. Chrome works fine, but I don't want to use Chrome because.... Chrome.

Any ideas from anyone what might be causing this/whether there is a fix
